Desktop to Cloud Sync
Keep working offline, sync when the connection returns
Desktop to Cloud Sync
Internet connections drop, especially at shops, warehouses and sites outside the city. We build desktop software that saves every entry on the local PC and keeps working without internet, then syncs with a central MySQL database through a REST API when the connection comes back. Head office sees data from every branch, and branch staff can keep working when the line is down. The desktop side is built with Electron, with the screens in React or Angular.
What We Deliver
What's included in Desktop to Cloud Sync.
Offline first
Every entry is saved on the local PC first, so billing and data entry continue during outages.
Background sync
Changes upload and download automatically when the connection returns, without staff doing anything.
Conflict handling
Agreed rules for when the same record changes in two places, so conflicts are settled the way you decided rather than by chance.
REST API
An API between the desktop software and the central database, with its own login for each branch.
Branch reporting
Head office sees combined sales, stock and reports from all branches in one place.
Secure transfer
Data encrypted in transit, and each device has to sign in before it can sync.
Our Process
How the work runs, step by step.
Map the data
We decide which data each branch needs, which stays local and which goes to head office.
Sync rules
We agree how conflicts are handled and how often devices sync.
Build the API and client
We build the central API and the desktop sync logic together and test them on poor connections.
Pilot
We run the software at one or two locations first to check sync under real conditions.
Rollout
We roll out to the remaining branches, train staff and watch sync closely in the first weeks.
Frequently Asked Questions

We agree the rules with you in advance: for example, the latest change wins, both versions are kept for review, or only one location can edit certain records.
