Laravel Development
Laravel web apps and APIs, written to be easy to change later
Laravel Development
We use Laravel to build customer portals, booking and order systems, admin panels and the APIs behind mobile apps. New projects start on current Laravel and PHP versions, with tests written alongside the features and code that follows Laravel's own conventions, so another Laravel developer can find their way around it.
What We Deliver
What's included in Laravel Development.
APIs for apps and partners
REST APIs for your mobile app, frontend or partner systems, with token-based login, input validation and documentation your developers can work from.
Portals and admin panels
Customer portals, staff dashboards and admin panels for managing orders, bookings, records and reports in one place.
Background jobs
Emails, imports, exports and other slow tasks run on queues, so pages respond quickly while the work finishes in the background.
Automated tests
PHPUnit feature tests for the flows your business depends on, run before each release so problems show up before your users find them.
Database design
MySQL tables, indexes and queries planned around how the app reads its data, so pages stay quick as the records grow.
Logins and permissions
Sign-in, password reset, roles and permissions, so each person sees and changes only what their role allows.
Our Process
How the work runs, step by step.
Scope
We list the users, screens and data, agree on what goes into the first release, and choose the hosting.
Build in stages
Features are built in short cycles, with validation and tests written alongside the code and a staging link for your review.
Review and test
Code is reviewed and the test suite runs before changes are merged, with static analysis and Laravel Pint keeping the code consistent.
Deploy
We set up the production server, deployments, backups and error logging, then release at a quiet time.
After launch
We hand over the code and deployment notes. We can stay on for maintenance and small changes after launch if you need it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about Laravel Development.
Yes. We start from the data your app's screens need and agree the endpoints with your developers before building. The API is versioned, so older releases of your app can keep using it after later changes.
Yes. We get the code running locally, read through it and check its packages and tests, then tell you what we found before changing anything. Where tests are missing, we add them around the parts we work on.
New projects start on the current Laravel and PHP versions. Older Laravel apps can be upgraded one version at a time, which our Legacy App Modernization service covers.
Laravel already handles logins, routing, queues, email and database changes, so there is less custom code to write and maintain. For a small site with a few pages and forms, WordPress or plain PHP can be enough, and we will say so.
Shared hosting works for many smaller apps, and a VPS or AWS suits apps with more traffic or heavy background work. Scheduled tasks need cron access, which most hosting plans include.
